93 years-old kenshi

Age almost does not count when a person wants to practice kendo: when that person do want to practice he or she just finds a dojo and the person starts to practice. To learn or to continue, whatever it fits the best.

A kenshi is just a Kendo practitioner and the Kendo Nippon chanels Interviewed the 93-years-old kenshi Gojin Izawa, Kendo Kyoshi 7th-Dan.

As you probably already know bwing on this website, Kendo is a type of athletic contest in which practitioners wear hakama and kendo-gi (the equiment), bogu (protective armor) and use shinai (bamboo swords) to strike each other. Kendo is also a budo (martial way) that aims to forge the mind and body of practitioners and facilitate the development of character through continued keiko(practice).
